Drivers
Drivers are the people who execute orders using the FM Mobile mobile app. Each driver record links to a user account and stores all the information needed for dispatch, real-time tracking, and Orchestrator assignment.
Driver Attributes

| Online | Whether the driver is currently active in FM Mobile |
| Location | Real-time GPS position (latitude, longitude, heading, speed) |
| Max Travel Time | Maximum driving time per shift (Orchestrator constraint) |
| Max Distance | Maximum route distance (Orchestrator constraint) |
| Time Window | Shift start and end times (Orchestrator constraint) |
Driver Statuses
| Status | Meaning |

active | Available for order assignment |
inactive | Not currently working — excluded from Orchestrator |
suspended | Disciplinary hold — excluded from all operations |
on_leave | Temporarily unavailable |
Creating a Driver
- Navigate to Fleet Management → Resources → Drivers
- Click + New Driver
- Enter name, phone number, and email
- Assign a default vehicle and set skills
- Configure Orchestrator constraints (max distance, time window)
- Save
Driver Detail Panel
The driver detail panel provides tabs for:
- Overview — attributes, status, and contact info
- Map — live position on the interactive map
- Orders — order history and active assignments
- Devices — linked GPS and IoT devices
- Schedules — shift schedule configuration
Orchestrator Constraints
The Orchestrator uses driver constraints to avoid infeasible assignments:

| Skills | Only assigns orders that require skills this driver has |
| Shift Window | Only assigns orders within the driver's working hours |
| Max Distance | Skips orders that would exceed the route distance limit |
| Max Travel Time | Skips orders that would exceed the shift time limit |
| Online status | Offline drivers are excluded from allocation |
Importing Drivers in Bulk
Download the CSV template from Fleet Management → Resources → Drivers → Import, fill in driver data, and upload. Phone numbers must be in international format (e.g., +39 02 1234567).
FM Mobile App Access
Drivers log in to the FM Mobile app using their phone number and a 6-digit SMS verification code. After login, location permissions must be set to Always Allow to enable background GPS tracking.

Shift Schedules
Recurring shift schedules can be configured per driver to define working hours for the Scheduler and Orchestrator. Shifts support weekly recurrence, custom break durations, and multiple shifts per day.
